It's The Great Paddock Art Auction

The Great Paddock Art Auction takes place on Saturday 7th December 2013 from 6pm
On Saturday the 7th December 2013 it's The Great Paddock Art Auction, which will put several artworks under the hammer in the hope of raising money to help with the current maintenance needs of the Paddock studios, all during the run up to Christmas.

The auction will help raise money for the current Roof Fund and maintenance needs of the Paddock Art studios which are now more than 200 years old. The studios were originally built as a stable block for the Haywards Heath stagecoach company and after many years of use, it was abandoned. In 1946 the building was purchased by Cecil Heathfield, who was an Art Adviser for the local Lewes area. He then converted and turned the stables into a gallery and studio space. After he's death in 1969, it was taken over by and is still owned to this day by the Lewes and District Visual Arts Association (The LADVAA, which I became a member of in February 2013).

The studios are located at The Paddock Art Studios, Paddock Lane, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 1TW.

Map of the Paddock Art Studios in Lewes, East Sussex"The Paddock Art studios are housed in lovely old timbered buildings with a beautiful garden behind. The fully equipped studios are close to the centre of Lewes, hidden in a back lane below the castle." Recently "unexpected structural problems mean that we have insufficient funds to continue on with the repair of the roof and underlying structure. We are calling upon anyone that cares for this fabulous art facility to make a donation to our roof fund" or to purchase one of the many art pieces during this great fund raising event. -www.paddockartstudios.co.uk

The paintings that I am going to auction off are:

A tiny man running down a woman's leg and foot
Run Along Now!
A shrunken man standing in a woman's court shoe
I'm In Her Shoes
A woman kicking her shoes off and putting her feet up
Put Your Feet Up!

The Great Paddock Art Auction was a great success, with nearly £3,500 being raised in total. 50 artworks and other art based items were put up for sale and 43 sold, with only 7 going unsold. The three paintings that I auctioned off that are featured above all sold and were purchased by the same one person. Thank You!
